This past February, despite orders to the contrary, the Pentagon sold over 1,400 F-14 parts at public sale as part of their surplus program. The only military in the world to use those planes is Iran.
The Associated Press has the story of the Pentagon's arms sale that occurred despite orders to prevent this specific scenario from transpiring.
I hope someone in Army Surplus feels real bad when an American is killed by an F-14 they helped repair during the upcoming war with Iran.
