Homeland Security Not Immune To Hackers

Over the last two years, the Department of Homeland Security has been hacked into over 800 times that they know of. They have been subject to virus outbreaks and even keyboard logging.

All this came out in a report to Congress which wasted no time condemning the agency for these problems:

"What the department is doing on its own networks speaks so loudly that the message is not getting across," said Rep Bennie Thompson, Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee.

For such a high-profile target that encompasses so many disparate functions, I'm surprised the number of break-ins are so few. These guys include FEMA, and we all know what a bunch of chuckle-heads they are.
