Arab League Seeks Peace With Israel newsvine furl google yahoo netscape

Leaders from Egypt and Jordan are in Israel today to present a peace plan on behalf of the Arab League.

The Associated Press has the story of the Arab League's plan for peace which calls for Israel to return to pre 1967 borders in exchange for a comprehensive peace deal.

This plan was first proposed by Saudi Arabia in 2002 and was rejected by Israel. But, much has changed since then with many more members of the Arab League signing onto the deal out of concern for wanting a counter-balance to Iran in the region.
